A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor

Louisville native and restaurateur Meghan Love opened Franny’s Seafood in December 2025 as a love letter to the American Northeast. After spending nearly 20 years in Brooklyn, Meghan returned home inspired by the history, charm, energy, and—most importantly—the incredible seafood of the coastal towns she had come to love.

Named after Meghan's paternal grandmother, Franny—a seafood lover and all-around amazing human—and created as an homage to her oyster-loving dad, Franny's brings a little taste of the coast to Louisville.

Meghan is also the owner of Mable’s Smokehouse, a beloved Brooklyn neighborhood restaurant that has been serving authentic barbecue and Southern hospitality for more than 15 years.
